Submission part of a design competition issued by Boomerang Cards - Dutch publisher of free postcards, Boomerang Cards has an ongoing design competition. This competition not only includes the design for postcards but also hosts assigments by other companies and institutions.
Creative people are challenged to participate in this competition and win a small financial compensation and ofcourse, everlasting fame.
One of those assignments was to design a CD cover of the 'GielJazz' jazz compilation made by the well-known Dutch 3FM radiostation DJ Giel Beelen.

Old Converse All Stars old sneakers
Old, worn shoes always have something special. It makes me wonder where they have been. Together with throwing away these old cotton Converse All Stars I threw away the only tactile representation of memories. This was an inspiration for this illustration
