O'Neill International Webshop Design
  • O'Neill International Webshop
Re-design of the O'Neill webshop selling surf-, ski- and snowboard clothing
  • Client: O'Neill

    Website: O'Neill International Webshop

Jerome Orlemans, owner of E-commerce Consultancy Boutique Bizzmagic asked Designia to deliver a new graphical user interface for the international O'Neill Webshop.

    Art Direction
Although several proposals with creative and new 'on brand' designs were presented, eventually O'Neill preferred to maintain the 'old' webshop styling. So the large visuals in the background, the black background for content as well as the horizontal main menu were preserved. But Designia's advice to build the graphic design on basic, almost minimalistic building blocks was followed.

Luckily O'Neill has quite a large database of stunning photography which easily can fill those building blocks with great visual content. The O'Neill webshop not only sells ski, surf and snowboard clothing but is also used as one the major channels for communicating the O'Neill brand. Therefore visuals are important to the brand. They visually communicate the life style of freedom and sports of which O'Neill wants to be associated with.

    Boutique Builders (FR)
The webshop is maintained on a framework developed by French Webshop Developement Specialists Boutique Builders and together with them, the wireframes, prototypes and interaction design Designia delivered were discussed in detail.
